The "Extended" tab holds display options, the credentials of a local RadioBOSS instance and the Now Playing settings.

Show VU-Meter until recording:
When this check box is ticked, a VU meter is shown in the main window while a voice track is being recorded.

Show Informations about current On-Air Track:
When this check box is ticked, the upper information area with the previous, current and next track is displayed.

Select On-Air Tab while available on app startup:
When this check box is ticked, RemotePLE switches to the "On-Air list" tab at startup, provided a RadioBOSS connection is configured.

Use Enter key for changing directories directly:
When this check box is ticked, Enter moves straight into the selected directory in a directory list. When it is cleared, Enter opens the context menu of the selected entry instead. Regardless of this setting, Backspace always moves up one level.

Search for a new version online:
When this check box is ticked, RemotePLE compares its own version number with the one published on the internet at startup and points out a newer release. The notice offers to open the download page, to ask again at the next start, or to skip this version. Nothing is installed automatically. If an update directory is configured for the connection, the program updates itself anyway and this check is skipped.

Local RadioBOSS Host / User / Password:
Credentials of a second, locally reachable RadioBOSS instance. Once host and password are filled in, a check box appears in the main window next to the OnAir list which switches between the remote and the local instance. All announcements then name the instance in use. The choice is not stored and starts at the remote instance again every time the program is launched.

Now Playing Port:
Network port on which RemotePLE waits for the title of a broadcast player. The default is 8000.

Receive Now Playing and send to RadioBOSS:
When this check box is ticked, RemotePLE presents itself as an Icecast receiver, accepts the title from a broadcast player and reports it to RadioBOSS as the stream title on every track change. This is meant for shows whose audio goes from a mixing desk into the sound card input of RadioBOSS: RadioBOSS then knows no title, because nothing is being played from a playlist.

Send to local RadioBOSS instance:
When this check box is ticked, the stream title goes to the local instance instead of the remote one.
